The Details
IGD’s former workspace boasted a large dining area with a complete commercial kitchen. This enabled staff to enjoy a fully subsidised lunch every day – a big perk of the job!
Just prior to covid, the decision was made to reimagine the space which the kitchen and dining area currently occupied.
How could the area be transformed to an attractive, welcoming hub, that would benefit the business and which employees would want to use – balancing the impact of removing free meals?
Our Solution
Our collaborative workplace consultancy process allowed us to understand the DNA of their business. By building a comprehensive appreciation of their people, places and processes, we were able to present our vision for the multi-purpose space, which met both their employee and commercial needs.
Open communications between Rhino and IGD and our willingness to listen and adapt ensured a very successful and enjoyable project.
With a much more versatile and flexible layout, the space is designed to support each employees different needs and tasks. There are now areas which encourage employees get together, collaborate and feel connected, as well as focus areas designed for more independent work.
Since completion, the new space is buzzing. Boosting collaboration and productivity, along with attracting new talent are just some of the positive impacts this space has made.
